The future of golf in South Africa

1. Observatory Golf Club prides itself in being the most inclusive golf club in South Africa.
2. The club believes that a successful golf industry in SA will be based on increasing the number golfers in the country from four hundred and fifty thousand to one million over the next 5 – 10 years.
3. To accomplish this, Observatory believes clubs need to offer all golfers a broader range of value-focussed golfing facilities.
4. Golf clubs need to focus on building diverse revenue streams other than just membership and green fees.
5. Observatory has implemented an affordable green fee and membership fee matrix that will hopefully go some way in accomplishing these objectives and growing the market.
